Equipment

Equipment, and the law that governs it

A short range of devices we supply to clients who want to handle part of a situation themselves. Every page tells you what the device is for, and what it is an offence to do with it.

We will not sell you a criminal offence.

Most people who arrive on this page are trying to find out what a partner is doing. We understand why, and we would rather say this plainly than take your money: in New South Wales, putting a tracker on someone else's car, leaving a recorder to capture a conversation you are not part of, or installing monitoring software on another adult's phone are criminal offences under the Surveillance Devices Act 2007 and the Crimes Act 1900.

Evidence obtained that way is also worthless to you. It is not admissible, it can expose you to prosecution, and in a family law matter it usually damages the person who gathered it. If that is your situation, what you need is lawful surveillance by a licensed investigator, and a phone call costs you nothing.

Everything below is supplied on the basis that you own the thing you are monitoring, or the person concerned has agreed. We ask, because we are licensed and our licence depends on the answer.
